Kolkata, 14 March 2016: D Chattaraj, motorman of Kolkata Metro Railway was honored by general director A K Kapoor as of late for his excellent administration. Chattaraj, alongside P Khuntia, Cheif loco inspector was drawing nearer towards Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station on February 25, when they saw a matured individual hop before the train. Them two were so ready and watchful that the motorman could apply the emergency brakes on time and halted the train in this way sparing a valuable life. Khutia too was perceived for his brief activity.
In acknowledgment of their exemplary administrations, Shri A. K. Kapoor, General Manager, Metro Railway recompensed both S/Shri Chattaraj, Motorman and Khuntia, Chief Loco Inspector at Metro Rail Bhavan on 11.03.2016.
