Kolkata Metro Durga Puja Timing
The Metro will run 72 services on the East-West Metro (Green Line) on October 17, 2026 (Saturday), Maha Shashthi October 18, 2026 (Sunday), Maha Saptami October 19, 2026 (Monday), Maha Ashtami October 20, 2026 (Tuesday), Maha Navami October 21, 2026 (Wednesday), Vijaya Dashami/Dussehra.
Kolkata: In a recent announcement, the Kolkata Metro announced that it will extend its services to midnight during the days of Durga Puja celebrations in order to ease the commute. The Metro will run 72 services on the East-West Metro which is a green line on Maha Saptami October 19, 2026 means on Monday, Maha Ashtami October 20, 2026 means on Tuesday, Maha Navami October 21, 2026 means Wednesday for the convenience of passengers.
At 11.55 am, the metro service will begin, and it will run until midnight. In the East-West Corridor, metros will be available at an interval of every 20 minutes.

ON SAPTAMI, ASHTAMI AND NAVAMI
The Metro Railway will run 72 (36 East-bound + 36 West-bound) services in East-West Metro (Green Line) on on Saptami October 19, 2026, Ashtami October 20, 2026, Navami October 21, 2026 for the convenience of the Metro passengers from 11.55 am to 00.00 pm at night. Metros will be available at 20-minute minutes interval in this corridor.
First Service:
- At 11.55 am from Sealdah to Salt Lake Sector V.
- At 12.00 pm from Salt Lake Sector V To Sealdah.
Last Service:
- At 11.35 pm at night from Sealdah to Salt Lake Sector V.
- At 11.40 pm at night from Salt Lake Sector V to Sealdah.
ON DASHAMI
The Metro Railway will run 48 services (24 Eastbound & 24 Westbound) on Dashami (October 21, 2026) from 11:55 am to 8:00 pm at night Metros will be available at 20-minute intervals in this corridor.
First Service:
- At 11.55 am from Sealdah to Salt Lake Sector V.
- At 12.00 pm from Salt Lake Sector V To Sealdah.
Last Service:
- At 7.35 pm in the evening from Sealdah to Salt Lake Sector V.
- At 7.40 pm in the evening from Salt Lake Sector V to Sealdah.
Normal services will be available from October 22, 2026.
